Studio Collection

Before I thought of Glorious Mud I was a potter, hand making a range of designs. I still make and sell these collections in galleries across the UK.

In 2026 we will be adding this range to the Glorious Mud website as a studio collection of one of a kind pieces. In the meantime, if you are interested in purchasing a piece please get in touch.

Allium

A range of designs, which change and evolve all the time, particularly the number and layout of flowers.

Thrown, slumped or hand built in off white stoneware clay with brown stems and lilac alliums. The jugs and mugs come in a variety of traditional and more contemporary shapes as it would be boring to make the same thing every day.

The wonky dishes are made by cutting and tearing the clay irregularly and are great fun to do, as well as being my bestseller. The square dishes are made by dropping the whole thing on to the floor in a wooden frame. Very therapeutic although the noise would send the dog running for cover!

Oven, microwave and dishwasher proof.

Cowparsley

Cow Parsley design made with scrafitto (a knife scratched into semi-hard clay) and a half-headed nail dropped by our builders.

The colouring is notoriously unreliable black underglaze so the background varies from grey to very pale clay making it more interesting.

I make this design in the same shapes as the Alliums range and it has proved to be very popular.

Stoneware. Oven, microwave and dishwasher proof.
